Moraza - Tasugueras Blanco 2024
Varietal Tempranillo Blanco
Region Rioja, Spain
Only 7% of Rioja’s land under vine are white grapes. The majority of this is Viura, known as Macabeu if you were in France. Tempranillo Blanco was first identified in 1988, a natural genetic mutation from red Tempranillo.
Waxy pear skin, hazelnuts and dried mountain herbs. A wonderful example of this rare variety from a high altitude vineyard in Rioja Alta. A complex and intriguing wine of depth, a Spanish alternate to Chardonnay.
