The Le Jeau lieu-dit was planted in 1955, a west facing schist slope that overlooks the Lys river and is adjacent to Les Nourrissons (Stephane Bernaudeau, their neighbour and close friend) Fermented and elevaged in old barrels, this is the top cuvee of the estate.
Chenin on schist produces electric wines. Delrieu-Ducleux are wines of tension, depth and a mineral core. This displays a lovely waxiness and grapefruit. Roundness that is cut with mineral tension, juxtapose with lemonade fruit and frangipane. A wine to decant or cellar.
